It was like any regular day for me, going to a nearby trail to get lost by the river for a while. When walking into the trail, I first saw it. But it was hard to tell what it was, so I kept walking. It was hiding almost, but a glimmering colorful beam of light, I thought it was a reflector sticker. A few hours later, when I walked back, there it was again. It was blowing in the wind but it was like an optical illusion, the way it looked from the angle I saw it. I stopped my friend for a moment as we walked by. They thought I was picking up some random hanging garbage, when I finally got a closer look and realized what it was. It simply made my day. A colorful, crayon themed heart. As an artist who’s been calling upon my inner child more and more recently, the crayons were a perfect match. It was so fitting and a few days before finding the heart, I had been talking to myself about my love of crayons, weirdly enough, haha! I jumped for joy, to be honest, it was just this simple little heart that made me feel connected to self, but also to the universe.. like I had been in the right place at the right time. My friend found it odd and figured it wasn’t a big deal to find this little fabric heart, but upon searching online, they had the realization that this was indeed special & maybe even rare. Thank you for making my day & giving me this little moment to cherish forever.
