Bulverde, TX USA

4 months ago I lost the use of my legs overnight. I’m only 34. I was in the hospital for a month with multiple diagnoses after tons of labs, imaging, and surgical procedures were done. Doctors still don’t understand how this happened to me or how to cure it; other than therapy. And I find myself at times wondering ‘why me?’ but I KNOW there is a purpose and meaning to everything! I keep up this mindset while I’m on my journey back to walking again. Today, 3/1/25, my husband took me in my car (she’s my dream car; a Audi A3 Quattro Convertible in Aggie maroon!), which I have been missing terribly, for a little Saturday Sunset drive west of I-35 (we live in Seguin, TX, on the east side). This was the first time I had been in my car in four months and was having a blast with the top down and music blaring with my husband. We went geocaching in Bulverde, TX where I found the Quilted Heart tied to a small branch on a tree in a busy parking lot. My husband first spotted it thinking it was the geocache but I told him from the car (can’t walk) to grab it for me. I think this is amazing. I loved learning of IFAQH and finding the heart made my day.
Thank you so much for helping make my first outing in my special car since I got sick an amazingly fun outing! What surprises life can bring you; be it both a trouble or something beautiful.
