Bruges, Belgium

In the context of my journey to becoming a nature guide, I attended a ‘city safari’ guided by a friend of mine in Bruges (Brugge).
On this guided walk, which brings participants closer to nature in the city, I found a quilted heart dangling from a Taxus/Yew tree.
It struck me in many different ways.
Apart from being a beautiful surprise sparking joy, it reminded me of the love I feel for nature and the power our environment holds, especially when we interact with it responsibly.
It also resonated with me because I started sewing less than a year ago, specifically with the intention to learn patchwork and quilting.
And funnily enough, two more participants in our group turned out to be quilters!
The gift of quilting!
Thank you <3
