My dog Bruno and I happened upon this quilted heart on a beautiful, early Autumn morning walk in Southeast Wisconsin. We love coming to this park, but life has been so busy. We don’t have the opportunity as often as I would like. Bruno has also been struggling with a bit of anxiety when he hears loud noises. Today he heard a loud bang from a truck on the other side of the park and started to get nervous. I have been working with him on this so I redirected him to a different side of the park to get him happy and settled again. Along our path on that side, we stopped to look at clearings and enjoy the misty morning views, which is relaxing for us both. On one of our pauses, we happened upon this sweet quilted heart. What a lovely find! It’s a great reminder of the good that can come and the peace we find when we take the time to pause or care for ourselves. It’s important to take a breath to rest and destress. You never know what beauty you’ll find.
