I was at the creek today with my husband and our 17 month old son! We live in Carlisle, but we’re in boiling Springs when we found it. After eons of fun in the water we decided to venture towards the playground, but decided to stop in the pavilion for a little lunch break! About 10 minutes in our little waddling toddler came across this precious surprise secured down by a rock. Using his new words he asks us, “whas dis?!” I am new to this site, but wondering if he might be one of the youngest to ever find one?
In my photo you might see a little stain and that is because my son’s fingers had strawberry juice all over them, but this just makes me love this memento even more. My husband and I were thrilled to learn about this global phenomenon made entirely of a little quilted heart! We send our blessings to whoever made and left it to brighten our day! My brother is a mariner currently overseas once again, I absolutely love sea life and the symbol of an anchor. I feel like it was just meant for our family. Even more special that our son found it! I will keep it in his treasure trove of memories forever. I have vowed to start making some and spread the love!
