Today while hiking my favorite part of the Batona Trail with my toy Aussie just outside of the office at Brendan Byrne State Forest, I came across a group of very happy women heading in the opposite direction. I think they were extra giddy because I suspect someone in this group left a quilted heart for someone to find along the Batona Trail and if I hiked far enough I would be the one to find the heart. Truly a wonderful thing to find along the trail, and a great way to start the New Year as I found the heart on New Year’s Eve day. I left the second quilted heart that I found on my return for someone else to find.
