Found my heart at the Busse Center, NWC hospital. On my way to see Dr. Kawasaki about implanting a pacemaker/defibrillator. It’s been quite the journey that brings me here. Started with a hip replacement, the day after I had a “small” stroke, blood thinner regulating issues. Slight vision irregularity noted. Two months to the day I had another stroke, the big type which a Thrombectomy fixed right up! Luckily with no deficits noted. Almost two months to the day I had a heart attack. Have been walking around with a portable Assure defibrillator vest/monitor combo. It’s heavy & cumbersome. Two days after coming home I had to assist my beloved 15 year old pup Luigi over the Rainbow Bridge, the most devastating thing yet. Come to find a gene mutation LMNA prevents me from repairing my heart with just meds & activity alone. Which brings me here to the discovery of this lil’ quilted heart. It’s been enthusiastically taped to this sign so I believe it is meant to remain here for someone else to find also. Since I am a quilter, I intend to pay it forward & find a place to leave one I’ve created when I come back 8/months to the day this whole excursion began to have the other hip replaced. Hopefully without all the drama this time. 🤷‍♀️ Thank you for this opportunity to share my story and discover this lovely mission. Chose Joy and be well! đź’“
