This past Thanksgiving, Nov. 28th 2024, I was feeling all the feels and not good ones. Thanksgiving is a time of sadness thinking about the family we have lost and the changing of our lives without them. We have been taking trips around this time as a family and this year was a cruise. This was my first time on a cruise and I was not feeling it. There were parts that I liked but had a hard time enjoying it at times. The previous evening I cut my foot on glass and had to miss our dinner together to see the medics. All was fine, but it just added to my growing bad mood. The next day while heading to Thanksgiving lunch with the family, I found this little heart on a chair. Being a good Midwestern girl, I was going to leave it for someone else to find. But after reading about the project, I decided to take it home with me. Sometimes you can’t ignore a sign from the Universe to remind you about the important things in life and to embrace the moment.
