My cat of 22 years, named Pi, had passed away a couple of years ago. It’s a loss I will never get over. Recently, it was Pi Day (3/14), which I always celebrated with her. I’ve been in a deep depression over missing her lately. My boyfriend and I decided to walk Gallup Park while we played Pokemon Go, even though it was only twenty degrees outside. My heart was sad, missing Pi, when my boyfriend said, “Hey! What’s that in the tree?!” I looked up, saw the quilted heart, and for the first time in several weeks, a true, genuine smile spread across my face. I felt like it was a sign from Pi to find a heart in the wild. Now whenever I look at the quilted heart, I think of Pi with warmth and happiness. I try to remember the great memories we shared, instead of how much it hurts to miss her. Thank you to my quilted heart angel! May your days be full and blessed!
